Okay since Mininova.org went legit that leaves many of us torrent lovers out in the cold. Well not really out in the cold but it does leave most of us that loved the auto downloading features mininova had built into their site. It was great to just be able to bookmark a torrent and come home from work and it be downloaded on my machine.
I know what you are all saying. Yes you can still subscribe to individual show rss feeds from many other sites, but this is a very sloppy way to do it. Who these days doesn't have a Tivo/dvr. The only reason I wanna download a torrent is if maybe I missed something I forgot to record or wanna go back and watch something I have deleted. So here is the disclaimer. I do not condone or participate in the downloading or pirating of copyrighted material and so move on if that is what you wanna use this for. So I have figured out a fairly simple setup to use free tools to let you auto download your torrents from any site on the web. Here is what you need.1. utorrent or any other bit-torrent down-loader that has auto-downloading features. this one is my favorite so I will cover it.
Just make sure you have the location of the downloads on and the automatically load on. Okay this is pretty much the majority of what you have to do. Next you just need to decide how you wanna load the .torrent files to dropbox. On my machine at work I load the dropbox client just like I did not the home machine. It will sync the same directories to your machine as you have on the home machine. So when you wanna download something you just right click that link and hit save link as and just save it to your torrents folder. 
I hope this helps you out and if it doesn't then just keep it to yourself. For me this was an easy way to use tools that i already use on a daily basis to replace the lack of a custom Rss feed. Oh and remember dropbox works from any computer with an internet connection, so if you are at friends house or any machine for that matter you can use this method.
